Christmas Thoughts 3

On our Media Page, you will find a four part series on Christmas that I preached at our church this year. Our church is less than a mile from the Sandy Hook tragedy that occurred on December 14, 2012. Many of our people are closely related to the school and its people.

The third message of this series is titled, “The Miracle of Divine Protection.” Five weeks prior to preaching this message, God prepared my heart in sermon prep to develop the passage from Matthew 2:1-18. Although I didn’t know what was going to take place in Newtown, CT five weeks later, the Lord knew and had a message for us. I encourage you to listen to the sermon, “The Miracle of Divine Protection.” It deals with the cause and root of what happened at Sandy Hook. It is no different than 2000 years ago when Christ was born! Listen, and be an Agent of Righteousness!

Christmas Thoughts 2

One of the most famous and well known verses in all the Bible is John 3:16. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”

This is the Gospel! This is Christmas! God Loved – God Gave! God gave His very best, His own Son for us to be Saved! Christmas is the Gift from God, His Son for Our Salvation!

Christmas Thoughts

I do believe most everyone looks forward to Christmas! How can you not enjoy this season? Along with the true meaning, it does bring a time of fellowship, fun, treats, presents, and joy that is unseen at other times of the year.

Christmas is about the perfect time and setting that God saw fit to send forth His Son to the earth. Galatians 4:4-5 states, “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.” This verse has so many wonderful truths!

The one thought I want you to grasp is that of Adoption. When we had no eternal family, He gave us His Son in order to adopt us into His! We are grafted into Abraham’s seed. We are part of the family of God when we come and accept His Son, the gift of eternal life!

Celebrate Jesus this Christmas!
